Phase 1 in the village of Barna, Co. Galway and its environs includes for the construction of separate foul and storm water collection systems along with the construction of a new Pumping Station. A short length of rising main will connect to the new rising main from Barna village to the Galway City Main Drainage Scheme. This was constructed as an Advance Contract of the Barna Sewerage Scheme. The separate storm water collection system to be constructed will discharge into the Trusky Stream adjacent to Pier Road via oil interceptors.
