Abseil Fundraiser for Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation
RBLMK organised an abseil on Dwyer’s Rock Glenmalure valley to raise funds for the Jack & Jill Foundation. Our own Tom Sheehy, David Murphy and Kennett Hayes (Dublin Port) put their faith in Fergus McDevitt to safely lower them down the 60m vertical rock face situated in the Glenmalure valley last Friday 21st of September. The Glenmalure Rock is famous for being the area where the Wicklow rebel Michael Dwyer used to spy on the British soldiers in 1798.
The Jack & Jill is one of the worthiest charities involving children in Ireland. It provides full time nurses giving parents of very sick children some respite and utmost loving care to terminally ill children.
A total sum of €4,450 was raised in just one week by members from RBLMK, Dublin Port and other contractors onsite.
Fantastic work by all involved and for a great cause to support.
