Wednesday 10th October 2018 was World Mental Health Day, and many of the Roadbridge projects marked the occasion with some treats for our hard working personnel.
Following on from our initiative of providing trained Mental Health First Aiders, we wanted to spread the word that it’s okay not to be okay, and that there are always people to talk to should you need it. The construction industry is notoriously poor at communicating these kinds of feelings, but we want to help break down the barriers.
We want to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt thanks to those who organised these events, and we are sure the idea was welcomed and appreciated across our sites. Commenting on the initiative, Jacquie Leppard of Scottish Power Renewables stated that ‘Roadbridge had gone above and beyond what was expected of them in organising the event.’ This will hopefully drive the message further and next year the number of projects participating will increase exponentially. Here are some images captured on the day.
