Roadbridge was engaged by Irish Water to undertake a 6-week intensive leak repair programme in Killaloe. The project was identified as a priority investment to address high leakage levels as well as poor water pressure and frequent disruptions to supply, due to the age and poor condition of the water supply network in the town. By repairing watermain leaks, replacing defective valves and installing water control devices throughout the town, Roadbridge made savings of up to 57% in the volume of water lost to leakage, significantly above the 20% target set out at the start of the project. These figures equated to a saving of 867,000 litres of potable water per day.
