Key Features
- The construction of interceptor sewers and pumping stations as part of the Limerick Main Drainage Scheme, including:
- 9.5km of open trench installation of sewers ranging in size from 225mm to 1200mmØ
- 3.5km of trenchless sewer installation ranging in size from 1000 to 1200mmØ
- Ballysimon Road: Installation of a combined trench up to 7m deep, 600mm foul and 300mm storm water, 200mm water main including connections to meter boxes, traffic management and utilities diversions. Full road reconstruction on completion
- Hyde Road: Installation of 0.75km of 100mm micro-tunnel including shafts, utility diversions and traffic management
- Galvone Sewer: Installation of 1200mmØ face access micro-tunnel under Railway line
- Construction of 2 no. pumping stations, 95 no. manholes and 12 shaft inspection chambers
