This enabling works project carried out as part of the HS2 project for EKFB JV entailed the construction of a site access from the A41, access road to the site and the establishment of a site compound for the main works
Key Features
- 1.5km of Boundary Fencing (Heras Fencing)
- Excavation of temporary drainage V-ditch (600m) and provision of 1 No. Attenuation Pond (1200 m3)
- Earthworks of 14,000m3 including topsoil strip and cutting
- Temporary Welfare and offices set-up including all hardstanding and car park areas
- Installation of permanent drainage (buried pipes, Manholes and Road gullies)
- Surfacing along access road
- Kerbing
- Road Surfacing
- Tie-ins on the Existing A41 during Road Closure
- Site environmental works including provision of silt buster for water treatment.
