Key Features
- The construction of 4.1km of single carriageway which included 9m rock cut through karst limestone; geophysics undertaken to inform grouting of karst features and geogrid reinforced pavement solution
- 4 no. at-grade roundabouts
- 1 no. Bridge over the Gradoge River - reinforced earth construction with precise TY beam composite deck slab measuring 20m wide and 17m clear span over the river
- Design and construct a 25.4m long 4.5x3.6m precast concrete box culvert for livestock/pedestrian access tunnel and a 22.5m long 4.5x4.5m domestic access tunnel underneath the contract roadway
- Laying the road pavement totalling surface area of 70,000m²
- Installation and diversion of all electrical communication and water utilities
- Installation of road signage, markings and pedestrian traffic signal
- Accommodation works for landowners
- Preservation of an archaeological landmark and provision of tourist amenities for same
