Vartry Water Supply Scheme Opening

The Vartry Water Supply Scheme in County Wicklow, has been officially opened by the Minister for Housing and Local Government Eoghan Murphy.

This scheme will provide clean drinking water for up to 200,000 people, and the main works were carried out by Roadbridge, acting on behalf of Irish Water.  Construction work began on the scheme in January 2018 and was completed in December 2018.

Roadbridge were honoured to have been chosen as Main Contractor on the historic project, with the impressive Vartry Reservoir getting a new lease of life, and look forward to continuing our association with Irish Water and Ervia on future projects.
